C.A.R.E. Award Winner: 2016

This beautiful whole house remodel in the Wellshire neighborhood of Denver included both a main level and basement remodel. Our client contacted us to address the challenges of closed in/small living and dining areas, small cramped main level bedrooms, no master bath, a general lack of closets throughout and a finished basement that was poorly laid out for their needs.

As a solution we prepared a design to remodel both the main and lower levels starting with removing a load bearing wall and combining the existing living/dining space to create a high impact great room and a spacious open living area with a new fireplace and sitting area for warmth and comfort. The design reconfigured the main level bedrooms as well, providing a new master bedroom suite with a 5-piece luxury bath and walk-in closet. On the main level we also converted the undersized single car garage to a new “flex” space/office with abundant light and a vaulted ceiling to emphasize the openness.

In the new lower level, the space was completely redone to include a second master suite with its own bath and walk in closet, an additional guest bedroom, spacious dedicated laundry room and large family room space. The outcome was a fresh, bright and open new home design that offered the client the flexibility and feel that fit their lifestyle while providing luxury and additional living space.
